The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency stated it can be alarmed in regards to the higher range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a significant quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“That is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office committed to service the area every day. The service position established for intervention encounters a significant inflow of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it difficult for your Workplace to attend status sassa to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more methods to allow the servicing of all clients and improve access to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
